I have nothing against vegetarians. If they don’t want to eat meat, WHO THE FUCK CARES. Like who the fuck cares if we WANT to eat it? Jeez. Humanity, just… no. And no, the original post is not wrong - I’ve heard meat eaters claiming how cruel it is that certain societies eat dogs/cats/rabbits/horses countless times, despite how hypocritical they sound. If you disregard all animal life, then fair enough, but there are people out there who’ll dub other cultures as strange and inhuman because they eat different animals, despite happily having beef/pork etc. So actually, it’s a very valid point. I don’t hate Koreans for eating dogs, unlike some people. I would happily eat horse meat, as I consider it a farm animal, even though apparently eating horse is considered as taboo as dog in America, for example. I don’t know about all the facts for or against vegetarianism in the post I reblogged as I honestly do not give a shit. What I do give a shit about is this constant propaganda aimed at meat eaters by vegetarians. The people who make these adverts should mind their own fucking business. I don’t care if they eat grass, it’s none of my business, nor is it their business if I eat dead animals. Oh don’t worry, I completely understand that people can do whatever they want - that’s the whole point of freedom of speech/etc, and props to you for being fully aware of what you eat and not discriminating about it. However, you have to be aware of the fact that vegetarians get attacked all the time. I’m not implying you personally, it’s just that if you’re sick of the propaganda against meat eaters, please understand that vegetarians get belittled, questioned and insulted for simply stating that they ARE a veggie; I reblogged a picture of vegan food once, without any added comment or tags whatsoever, and immediately I got a barrage of angry messages and replies because I’m so unhealthy and meat is so tasty omg what are you doing. Dude, if people feel strongly about a belief, they will post about it, they’ll make posters and ‘propagada’ and go on protest walks. If someone attacked someone else about making a poster for any sort of human rights - religion, race, sexuality -then they’ll be dubbed as oppressing freedom of speech. So tl;dr vegetarians have as much right to express their belief as anyone else, and saying that we should ‘mind our own fucking business’ is spitting on that right to have an opinion and expressing it.
